I searched, but I am looking for some specific info about using a U.S. Wii in Thailand. I am moving to Thailand in a few months, and I want to know whether I should sell it or just bring it!

1) NTSC games, etc. - are these a problem with TV's in Thailand?

2) Region encoding in console/games - problems?

3) buying games (legit or copied) in Thailand - do I need a "mod chip" to use games purchased in Thailand (i.e. japanese games, etc.)

anything else I should know about this? Voltage converters, etc.?

thanks in advance :o

you will need the transformer - a 220 VAC to 110 VAC - 400 baht

I bought my Wii here , a US Wii modchipped with transformer

you could just buy a 220 VAC power supply for your Wii , but I don't know the price - I got told 50 SGD ( 1150 baht ) in lucky plaza in Singapore but I thought he was taking the piss.

modern televisions handle NTSC and PAL
