I spend about 3 months a year in Thailand. Is there any advantage to using a bank like B of A that has an office in Thailand? I want to dump Wells Fargo and looking for ideas. Would probably prefer something other than B of A. Thanks

I would consider using ETrade Bank. They have a NO fee ATM card and I have always found their rates to be under 1% of the interbank rate. With the card, I am able to withdraw funds in baht at any ATM that accepts Visa cards in Thailand. 1%+ interbank is low compared to most credit cards that charge interbank + 3% and most FX places that charge similar prices.
