Looking For Tutor Year 11 Student - Math Review

Recommended Posts

Our son just finished Year 11 of a reputable Intl School. As it turned out his grades have dropped quite a bit in Math and he needs a few hours of review with a Uni Student or a Math Tutor.

Our son speaks both Thai and English.

Thanks for your help and regards

Miguel

Hi Miguel,

I can assist with this. I am currently holidaying in Thailand while finishing my novel. My background is engineering, and I do tutor students in maths and calculus - 7 years experience in this. D let me know if you need more info. Thanks

Regards,

I sent my kids to GMT in Vanessa Building , which is located near Chidlom Central. They specialize in tutoring children attending international schools. Their tutors are highly qualified and experienced. The business card of the director has more letters after his name than most names have! Letters are no guarantee of quality, but you tend to get what you pay for. Their rates are over a 1000 an hour. Both our kids got through their exams with flying colours. The school recently changed its name.

I teach HS Math here.

I doubt that just a few hours of review will solve the problem.

If his grades dropped because he did little to no work that year

then he has a year of work to make up .... more than a few hours required.

If his grades dropped because his previous year Math understanding

was weak, he will also have much to make up.

If his grades dropped because he just failed to retain what he learned

in previous years that were needed for year 11, then maybe a simple

review will suffice. But I doubt it.

It is good that you will help him catch up with tutoring support.

When he gets to Uni, the Profs will be moving thru subjects/concepts

fast and they will assume and expect he knows the prerequisites well.

Good Luck
