Vista And Sp1

Not that I really had problems was I was looking at the ysed Resources, CPU Utilization and Memory usage in Vista Ultimate.

Even after and upgrade with SP1 there wasn't a really improvement.

About a week ago I was reinstalling Vista on my Laptop using a clean isntall, what nothing means, just format and reinstall everything. The CPU Utilization at all times was above 40 but most above 50% and while using to work up easy up to 100% and the Memory in use was min 58%.

So, I reinstalled Vista by following with SP1 and than downloaded the latest updates from MS. Installed all software back on and copied all Data back as well. So the Laptop was as before equipped with same contents.

BGut there was a huge difference: CPU Utilization by 0-4% in Standby, going up a few % while working and by havy use up to 50-70% for a very short time. Memory in use between 37-48%! And a huge speed improvement.

Now I had done the same with 2 desktop computers in my office with the same result. The rest of my Office computers will fillow within the next few days and later on I'll do the same by my customers.

For those of you who consider to install SP1 or those whocomplained already about not get an improvement may you go the same way as I!

Cheers.

Do yourself and your customers a favor and Slipstream Windows Vista with SP1 & Create a Bootable Vista SP1 DVD. (I bet you already knew this.)

I do! And I plan that already but I'll need some time for that, special for testing it will works without problems before I'll give it to my staff!

Cheers.
