Bus From Bkk To Kanchanaburi

Featured Replies

Hi folks!

I'm planning to head across to kanchanaburi next weekend, i have been before around 7 long years ago.

So to refresh my memory please..

1.Do i have to go to the southern bus terminal?

2.If i remember correctly it's a pain in the butt to get there by taxi from Sukhumvit area, are there any other ways ie:subway,BTS?

3.Is the journey time around 2-2.5 hours?

Thanks in advance.

it is the southern bus terminal, the best why to get there from where you live I am not sure because I don't live in BKK myself I normally take a taxi which is not all that bad. The travelling time is just about right it takes me 90 min to get to Ratchaburi

But bear in mind, if the last time you used the SBT was 7 years ago, it has now moved 15 km or so down the road.

EDIT: Typo

Yes. Bear this in mind. Not all taxi drivers know about the move, as my brother-in-law found out last weekend when dropped off at the old SBT.
