grungthep
hello, my fiancee from thai and myself from germany want to marry in thai soon. She is already preparing all the documents (translations...) with the thai embassy. Now she wanted to visit me in the meantime and while applying for a schengen vise to come to germany she was told that her passport has already been marked indicating that she will marry soon - subsequently she can't get a visa now! Does that make sense? Anyone ever heard of that? Thanks!! A.
the scouser
I don't know a lot about German immigration law, but it may be that the visa officer does not believe that your fiancée would only visit Germany when you have already indicated an intention to marry. Scouse.

Thanks for the reply. I thought of the same but that doesn't make sense, because even if we marry in thai she has to show up in person here in germany in order for me to get the necessary paperwork from the register office. how is that supposed to work if she's not even allowed to enter the country? Any other thoughts?
