I am puzzled by the number of non US companies on the list.

I had a friendly discussion with somone this week about this order. I maintained that short sales were not suspended in these equities, but that the SEC said they would enforce a regulation (Reg SHO, that is already on the books and is widely ignored) with respect to these companies. to test my opinion I put in orders to short several, well above the market, and all orders were instantly taken. It's smoke and mirrors time.
