i am qualified spark and my wife is a registerd mental health nurse.

would it be easy to find work in thailand and what sort of wages would we be looking at?( permanent jobs preferably not just jobbing about}

Maybe if you were going about doing what you do in the UK you might not have a chance....

but.....

I have met a couple of people in my travels (eg surveyors) who have set up their own firms providing western level surveying operations before construction begins (eg. checking to see where the water and electricity mains run under a site etc etc.) stuff that we take for granted at home, but are simply not done in Thailand. There are actually companies willing to pay for such services, as at the end of the day, it provides them a better product.

Now if you can find a niche for your electrician expertise (and lets face it - standards in thailand in all facets builing are dire )- and find a market for it.....you never know
