What is all about safety with all the new Eco Cars? Do you think this could happen with a 65 Impala?

Could that happen to a body on frame pikcup truck?

I'll get the coat, I won't wait until the "crumbling zone" brigade jumps in with their four star ratings for Jazz.

In Thailand that would be rolling "Pepsi" cans.

JUNK.

Reminds me of the old Yugos.

It's correct

This is exactly what i mean. Why everyone only get atracted by the small little vioses and Jazzes, etc? Everybody only talk about saving fuel, fuel economic cars, etc. Noone cares abyout their own safety and lifes. Air bags can't safe you in this kind of accident. Are we so greedy in those days, try to safe any penny on fuel, drive small little coke or pepsi cans, but pay the penalty with our life in case of a accident? Bigger cars are much more save. Even Pick Up Trucks at least have a frame. This kind of accident would never have with a full frame chassis ,like a old Toyota Crown or a Pick Up Truck, or even a old American car. To me new cars are absolutely unsafe today. In my opinion, we don't neet 10 air bags, we need stronger cars.

Can we not start this argument again? It's getting boring. Pickup hitting a pickup - both drivers will be worse off. jazz vs a jazz you might be more lucky. Problem is that most ppl drive pickups in Thailand, so a small car is more likely to collide with a larger one. Unfortunately we don't get to choose who we have an accident with...Yes you would be 'safer' in a pickup, providing you hit a much smaller car.

It has been few months wihout arguing about this.

Wait until someone like Wilko finds this thread. You'll hear everything and much more about how Jazz is much safer than a ten wheeler.
