check you device's power charger plug head..it should say allowable input is 100v-240v ...... otherwise you'll need what is called a step down transformer

Does that mean no converter would be needed?

correct. you may need a plug head adaptor, you can get universal ones anywhere.

alternatively, you can always charge your devices off you laptops(should you carry one) USB port too.

Should you need a transformer, then you need to check the amps on your appliance/gadget and make sure your transformer (step up/step down) can provide the necessary juice.

I am looking at the lower shelf of my old style computer table , i tried those cheaper versions some years ago with some dire results , i purchased an automatic voltage stabilizer for B750 with oulets for 100/110 and 220 volts , input is140/240 volts , this is the safest way to go , there is no way of damaging other equipment .
