Seen Elephants fly, heard the fat lady sing, but this tops them all

Seen it all now I’m ready for the next life:

Today they sent in 1,000 cops against 20,000 protestors, to post a notice. Withdrew before arresting the nine leaders whom they hold Felony warrants for charging them with treason.

They risked injury or death to 21,000 people to stick a piece of paper up.

That is insane, if you’re going to do then do it, if not go get a cup of coffee and relax.

We wonder why he cops are not proactive here, this might be the reason.

1,000 cops against 20,000 protesters.

And some of those 20,000 protesters are from the military units who are aiding Mr. Chamleong.

I see why the cops had to withdraw, they'll die if they dont fire their guns when those 20,000 decided to go rampage without anyone stopping them.

Dont think any police in the word could take down 20,000 protesters without any guns.

I understand what your saying. In my mind it really doesn't matter if anyone had weapons or not, the mission was not worth the risk. If your going to risk something like that a prudent person would want to do more the hang a peice of a paper up.

The paper was posted what did it change, nothing that I can see.

They sent them in there with the sole purpose to do that, with total disreagard for what the outcome could be. They were suppose withdraw. I sure would not have wanted to assigned been assigned to that wonderful task.

Maybe the administration didn't believe the protestors, who already knew about the court order, why we would put this piece of paper and they will just away.

Pretty poor use of manpower as far as I'm concerned.

Lets take your tought for one minute armed people in that compound, one shot would have all it would taken for a bloody mess to be there, from either group.

Doesn't sound like it was worth that risk to me.

Not putting the street cops down they followed orders. I belive the problem was a lot higher up then that.

So when do you predict the 20,000 will start rampaging (given that it has been 5 days now)?

And will that be the signal for the police to start shooting?

After sitting cross legged for 5 days they won't even be able to get up...

Ok it's going another direction now, yes a thousand well trained and equipped cops could have done the job. There may be 20k people there. But, that doesn't mean they are all hard core. But it would not have been a pleasant sight. It' been being for years, nothing new about it.

They could have done that without ever firing a shot. But one shot from the crowd by a hot head even in the air things would changed things instantly. I know the cops weer unarmed. But does anyone really believe there were not others that were armed standing by.

I still beleive it was the wrong mission for the risk.
