My bugbear has been dragging and dropping new favorites to the top of a long list. They get added to the bottom by default. No-one at Microsoft (or Firefox) has thought of defaulting them to the top, or allowing cut-and-pasting for easy movement. So I have to wait 30 seconds to drag each new favorite up the line to the top for easy drop-down access.

Or am I missing something?

You WERE missing something. It takes 30" to move ONE newly-added Favorite up to the top. I have a long list and like my primary Favs at the top. Running CCleaner, I inadvertently lost the menu list order (now unchecked) and it reverted to alphabetical.

It really needs a cut'n'paste system. Surprised they've never improved it since IE's early versions. I know they offer separate Favorite folders but mine are not suited to categorisation; I prefer a continuous list, and had been coralling my Favorite-Favorites at the top and bottom. Oh well, time to delete some dead wood from the list!

I use google bookmarks, adds the link in a predefined sort

1) Does Google's have any more functionality than Internet Explorer 7/8's Favorites?

2) Can I add this Google feature to browsing in IE 7/8? Thanks.
