I have CAT direct cable to my wife's shop at work and at home have ToT ADSL...

I noticed that often I cannot open a video on youtube at home....it gives a message across the black screen "sorry video no longer available" ....not all, but only a few am I able to open

at work I was able to open all with Firefox, but not all with IE7

Now I am having problems with Firefox too and some which I could open first thing in the morninjg suddenly became 'unavailable' later..

What is happening?

for example this one will not open

but this will

and many I could open this morning have now become 'unavailable'

is this a network thing when it is busy perhaps??

I can view both linked YouTube videos via CSLoxInfo over TOT and on True. There have been some similar threads but I can't recall the explanation except to say that ISPes are not blocking videos. It could have been some Flash issue?

I have exactly the same on my CAT connection.

When accessing using a VPN connection to my US servers it works just fine!

I am wondering if someone is playing with their proxy today

I keep http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/breakingnews/ open in a tab all the time , but today it has been displaying 2 days old news and won't refresh - except for about an hour , 2 hours ago - but back to the same problem

it works fine with my https proxy in canada and browsing via VPN from singapore

I have True ADSL , and I am not noticing a problem with anything else.

I am wondering why it is just a news site that is not working correctly

I have CAT too.

But this problem is not a problem of the provider I think. If you google you will find many forums with many people having the same problem.

Just look in the forums of Youtube.

The strange thing is sometimes I can watch a video and sometimes I cannot watch the same video again.

Every other site with videos I can watch, I have only problems with Youtube videos.

I think they changed something when Google bought Youtube. Maybe they messed up with the player.

Although with videos from the Google site I don´t have any problem.

I have TOT Goldcyber in Pattaya.  I tried both of the url's above last night and neither would play.  They would load the first 2 seconds of video then freeze.  This happens to me frequently, especially during peak usage times.  I tried both of the url's this morning and they both played flawlessly without any delay.  I personally think that the problem is either due to TOT's limited bandwidth during peak usage times or that TOT themselves are somehow limiting video (YouTube) playback during these times.  It's a hit or miss with TOT.
