Import duty of 200% of the value of the car set by Thai customs staff - not whatever source of the vehicle's value that you provide. Effectively they look at the car then you and decide how much they want the car themselves, and place a price that is beyond what a sane person would pay.

Can cut the car into bits and bring it in as parts - that attracts a 15% import duty - however when you rebuild it you will find it impossible to obtain legal paperwork for the car, so no insurance, road-tax etc.

Many threads asking this question in Motoring forum.

All those naysayers above making building a clock when all you asked was the time!

Of course you can bring your car to Thailand! Be it an MGB Roadster or a TVR Tuscan, it will be welcomed with open arms by those chaps at the Customs Dept.

Searching the forum before posting questions will give you much better info than clowns like myself can provide though.
