Can A Us Lawyer Get A Job With A Thai Law Firm?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know whether thai law firms will hire a foreign lawyer to draft and edit documents in English? I recall reading that Law is one of the restricted professions.

Does anyone know a CM lawyer who might be interested in having a US lawyer work for him?

It is a restricted profession, though there are plenty of lawyers working here as 'consultants'.

Most are bought in from overseas, though I know a few who have gotten jobs after a couple of months of being in BKK and simply networking and knocking on doors.

Sorry, dunno about CM.

Larry:

CM - I don't know. However, Baker & McKenzie, Bangkok are currently advertising for exactly what you are offering. You can check out the ad here:

You never know, if you're really that good, and have the facilities, theymay even consider a telecommute arrangement - although I think that is unlikely.
