Over Stay In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello, I am Malaysian and my visa has expired for 8 days now, I didn't notice until yesterday. I am very worri because I've been told that I need to pay 500baht each day? I have not much money left and I can't afford to pay that much fine. Do anyone have any idea so I could reduce the fine? Someone told me I can corrupt the immigration staff in the border, does it works? This is my first time overstay in foreign country I am very worry could you please give me some advice? I just want to leave Thailand as soon as possible

Thank's a lot

No

Come up with the money to pay the fine and leave the country or take the chance of going to jail.

It's 4000 if you leave today and an additional 500 for every day after.

trying to corrupt an official means prison in almost every country.

Pay the overstay fine of 500 baht a day. Simple enough and leave it at that.

I didn't know Malaysians needed a visa for Thailand.

Hi 5stash

Malaysians get a 30 days visa on the arrival, my problem now is over staying in Thailand

if you don't have such a small amount, i don't understand why and how you could come in thailand.

i can't believe you scheduled a trip without money.
