Good Isp For Online Gaming?

I have been using buddy broadband for the past six months and while it usually has good download speeds and connects quickly to international websites, I have been unable to play any online games. I am currently set up with 2mb/s and for the most part cant even log in and when I do its usually lagged out at 2-3000 ms. I was wondering if anyone using buddy broadband and plays online games has this same problem and if they could recommend any solutions? or if someone could recommend a reliable ISP to use for online gaming?

While this hasnt really been a problem since I got bored of WoW and LotRO, I just bought Warhammer Online and got to play for a few hours at my office this weekend and am hooked.
