I'm married to a wealthy (ish) women. Her family own a rather nice resort/restaurant. We currently live outside Thailand and I have no idea what visa options are open to me if we live in Thailand.

I would prefer to aviod visa runs. I may teach but would prefer to avoid teaching full time.

Can I get a yearly visa?

If I were made a joint owner of the business would that secure me a visa? My wife plans to build an apartment building on land that her parents are giving her. Again could that be done in such a way that gave me a visa?

I'm 40 with about 30k bht a month in share dividends to my name.

Is there anyway that we can live in Thailand and I can teach part time and stay legally?

Show marriage certificate & get a 1 year multi entry type O Visa. Show u have money. That it, easy... did this for several years till divorced the girl. Now get 1 Year Multi Entry Business Visa Type B- as have a registered biz in thailand. Hope of some help.

U doing well if still getting dividends from the stock market- all my shares have crashed & burned. Most not paying off any dividends this year. And I am a stockbroker by trade... so u doing well in this worldwide downturn. Chok dee

Just go to the local Thai Embassy/Consulate - wear a lot of yellow, with special wristbands, tell them your wife is a hi-so, act important, and that's all there is to it. Say (in Thai - it only works in Thai): "Do you know who my wife is?" - The Thais do this to each other all the time (but not when foreigners are around - learn this - it's true).

Use words like "than" etc..

"Pandray-ah khong pomme, ben than - whatever-her-name-is - yadayada-porn, ja bai baan na-blah, blah, gap pomme.....blah, blah.."
