  1. Correct answer: "Yes sir, I did it myself"
  2. I'm still trying to recreate the problem that Liquorice reported to me via PM. No luck so far. A couple of links have gone dead, which is not surprising with government websites.
  3. I removed some abusive posts made by the OP an the replies to them. This topic is now closed.
  4. During the last two weeks of your permission to stay, goto the local immigration office in the province where you will then be staying.
  5. Thank you. Mistery solved: different mobile phone providers use different USSD codes.
  6. The above says it all. The good lady hopes that next time around you will help her fill her monthly quota.
  7. I have a feeling that *102# is for checking one's phone number, not the last for digits of one's passport number àregistered with the mobile phone provider.
  8. Your experience shows that sometimes, perhaps not always, standing one's ground earns oneself respect from the government agency concerned. Thank you for sharing it.
  9. There is a TDAC database. The immigration officials at the entry points have access to this database. The immigration officials at the provincial immigration offices don't seem to have access to this database. The immigration officials in both places are part of the Immigration Bureau, which is part of the Royal Thai Police, which is part of the Ministry of the Interior.
  10. I am moving this topic from thr Visa Forum to the Teaching in Thailand Forum, where you will probably more likely get replies.
  11. On a foreigner's arrival in Thailand, the immigration official scans the passport and sees the TDAC information on his screen. The officials at the local immigration offices should be allowed to access to this database, instead of having to ask applicants for a extension of stay to bring a printed copy.
  12. I'm referring to a scenario where someone no longer meets the reason for which their DTV was granted (for example, they stop working remotely or pause their Muay Thai training), and whether they’d still be allowed entry.
  13. I've split a post about avoiding denial of entry and the replies to it into a separate topic, as it would have been off-topic here. https://aseannow.com/topic/1364802-avoided-denial-of-entry/
  14. Although I am not a victim of the UK pension freeze because I live in Switzerland, I applaud the initiators of this project and wish them success in getting this unfair situation corrected. I would gladly give my personal support but not being a UK national, I cannot register for voting.
  15. I'm not quite sure how to explain this to you and I'd be grateful if you helped me by answering the following questions: 1. How much does the single-entry Thai visa for the purpose of travelling to Thailand for the reason of retirement cost in your home country? 2. How much is the equivalent of that price in Thai Baht?
  16. After the implementation of the eVisa also in New Zealand, do the extraordinary high prices for the Thai visas issued in that country still exist?
  17. Could the following be another mistake? Believing that immigration will continue to grant entry with the visa even when the reason for which it was issued no longer exists.
  18. I see no indication in the OP's posts to suggest the that a DTV would suit him and his partner, ie that they need multiple entries for the next five years with stays of up to 180 days for the reason of either Muay Thai training or medical treatment.
  19. Removed an off-topic post about an alleged certificate issued in Germany.
  20. It would not be a "report confirming you live there" It would be a report confirming that you lived (past tense) there on the date of the visit.
  21. I have seen it mentioned on this forum that the TDAC may be an experiment, a test run for something that may or may not come, for example the collection of the tourist tax.
