I have had zero luck finding a private pilot on TV to answer a question so thought I'd give it a try here. This past year here in the states a requirement has be implemented to have 10% ethanol in all gasoline sold at car gas stations. This was a big problem for some aircraft owners as we can't use e-fuel in aircraft engines. Av-gas is high in lead and causes a spark plug fouling problem on some low compression engines so car gas was preferable. Recently car gas has dropped dramaticly in price to under $2.50 per gallon from over $4 during the summer. A gallon is pretty close to 4 liters. How does this compare to current prices in LOS? I'm hoping to return soon to SEA for the winter and would like to find out how practicle it is to commit aviation in Thailand. I have contacted two flying clubs up north with not a word in reply. Pilots here seem to spend a lot of time "hangar flying" so have been surprised at the complete lack of response. This forum seems to be helpful and civil so thought I'd try here.

Thanks,
