Inter Dental Clinic

hi every one

a few months ago i went to a dentist for an xray and checkup as it had been a while.

they told me that i needed a new crown as mine had slipped or something.

although i was happy with their service of xray cleaning etc i didnt feel completely confident, and sought a second opinion.

now finding a suitable dentist in pattaya is quite a task, as there are hundreds of clinics, and the hospitals of course.

i was thinking hospitals but witch one? plus i hate the fact you get charged the nurses fee. when by all accounts your blood preasure is fine and they weigh you for what?

so then its the clinics. but what about if they tell me i need something doing when it doesnt really need it. or what about the pricing? will they charge the same to everyone or judge me by what i am wearing, or if its been a quiet day?

i decided to look back through thai visa history and there is loads of threads on this sort of stuff.

everbody, it seams has a different suggestion and different experience at these places. however there was an american guy who mentioned the "german clinic" on thappaya road soi 9. the fact his work is guaranteed for 5 years sounded good enough for me.

were talking a german guarantee here not the thai one one you hear so often!

now i know a new crown is not that bigger deal, but you still dont want any old tom dick or harry doing it for you do you? i wants to be right first time, pain free and as quickly as possible, not to mention the right colour, size shape etc.

anyway to get to the point... i went here "inter dental clinic" thappaya road soi 9.

brilliant from start to finish!

day one; confirmed i needed the new crown. michael the boss then explained in full detail the procedure and quallities gave me 3 options; chromium-cheapest, 50 percent gold platinum- mid range, and the 85 percent gold platinum-top price.

after his advise i went mid range. he said would start next day and would take 3 visits. (3 days)

day 1; take off old crown and clean up and take moulds. fit temporary crown. 45 mins.

day 2; size up the new crown and check colour. 15mins.

day 3; fit. 15 mins.

i am well happy with it, it looks much better than the old crown. feels great. no pain!

his clinic is nice inside, all the gear, all his dentists it would seem are excellent aswell as himself of course. i felt really comfortable and well informed. i like the fact his lab is upstars at the clinic, and all sorted in one place.

i cant judge on what the dentists look like as they were "masked up" but the lady on the upstairs desk is mighty fine. i think it may well be michaels wife, so no fancy ideas boys!

anways whatever you need dental wise.... this is the place!

have a nice day.

Hmmmm..... For 1 hour and 15 minutes of work and at Thai costs I am wondering how good of a deal this was...... I am sure it was worth it since gold is very high these days... It definitely is much better than any western prices and the important thing is that you sound like you really received good service and was satisfied.... I guess the true test comes when you take that first bite from that BBQ rib or ear of corn..... :o

i think it was a great deal. i was quoted 13,000 at pattaya inter.

the point i was trying to make was that there has been loads of threads about this.

people say this is good, there is good, i am happy with so and so place. but no real detail.

i wanted to give a detailed summary of my experience.

anyway the ribs sound a great test! not for breakfast tho.....
