Online Wheel And Tire Shops?

Comehome

Recommended Posts

I am looking for rims and tyres.

4x4 SUV/Pickup

Lenso and Maxxis are made in Thailand

so I can find acceptable looking Lenso rims.

But I dont fancy the Maxxis tyres.

Any online shop in Thailand?

Or do I have to telephone every shop and

try to speak thai with them?

Anyone know any decent shop in Thailand that carry lots of

4x4 tyres?

Is it better to buy tyres from USA since they

may not have any proper tire shop here in Thailand?

How much tax on a set of tyres if I import them for 1000USD?

Big shops such as tyreplus, cockpit, stock a range of wheels and tyres, including Lenso (which I can reccomend as I have had mine nearly 3 years and they are still uncorroded and unmarked (apart from a few scratches I put on them). Just look for a set you like off of the shelves.

Plenty of good tyres here, so no need to import. I use Michelin pilot preceda but I'm sure there are just as good tyres for a pickup here. Tyres will be far more expensive if you bring them from overseas. No need for that.

Thank you very much for the replys.

I talked to many of the shops.

They had mostly regular tires.

Some had a few tires that I could use

but they said 100.000 baht for a set.

The cheapest said 4 tyres(no rims) = 80.000 baht

I felt like I was in Africa or Russia, no modern style tires

anywhere?

Or the VAT for imported goods is 150%?

I think I have to import a set from USA.

It will be cheaper than 100.000 baht I think

Anyone know how much import tax do Thailand charge

for a set of tires that cost 1000$ ?

Hi

Dont know what shop you went to but they are still laughing, i bought 20" chrome wheels with 275/50 Bridgestone tires for 60.000

I presume she went to a shop on Samui. When the time comes to buy tyres myself I will probably fit it in with my visa run to Malaysia rather than bother trying to deal with the businesses on the island. Mind you, if the op has enough money to change the wheels and tyres 'cause she wants a different look, then up to her

  • 2 years later...

Anyone bought 265/50 tyres + 20 inch wheels for a pickup recently?

Any idea on prices?

Also was looking at 22s but on a Vigo would those not be a bit harsh on these roads?

I'm moving up north near Chiang Rai and wondered if there'd be any problems with larger wheels, I wont be going off-road per se but don't imagine that the roads will be great.
