Go Go Clubs In Pattaya

Surely part of the attraction (if not 100%) is the girls and whilst some places mentioned are often busy, the dancing maidens are not reknown for their levels of service. High prices and OTT expectations are the order of the day IMHO.

Ahh, but the kicker is, most of the people frequently those places are tourists that don't know any better.

I've seen some places that everyone seems to think are the best in town (like Club Boesche), which are not that great at all. Some people go, have a great time, and decide that it simply can't get any better than that, so keep going back to the same place.

I had to laugh when I thought about that. I knew some girls that worked in New Living Dolls 1 a couple years ago. They all lived in the same building and I was kind of seeing one of them off and on. 3 of her friends quit NLD 1 to go to Boesche because they heard it was so great. It only took them 3 days to realise it wasn't that good, and then they went back to NLD 1.

A friend of mine used to rave about (Crystals ? Now Rodeo Girls whatever it was before).

The thing is, he was staying in the Penthouse and when he came out of the hotel, that place was right across the street. Nothing special about it. Single shop-house, stage against one wall, two levels of bench seating along the other wall. He met a girl from there, and the mamasan at the time took good care of him, so he figured that was the best place in town.

Problem is, he hardly ever went in to any other places, so he never learned that there were other, better places to go. Then again, I suppose there were (are) worse places as well.

Ah well, what ever makes you happy I guess !

May I say, very gracious of the Mods to let us indulge. :o Out of curiousity, I

actually found that "a-go-go review site" but the guy doesn't do the scouting

himself, it's more like he culls information from the internet or people submit

reviews so some of it is dated? The ambiance of these places can change on

a monthly basis depending on whose running the show and if the mamasan is

keeping the staff busy or letting them chat in the corner amongst themselves.

There you go cali, there's a vacancy for an online, real-time gogo bar review, even moreso now that pattaya ghost blog has gone the way of pattaya rag blog. I take it you are retired with the limitless income required to actively do the actual field reviews? Maybe set up a team of maybe 4 guys to ensure 24/7 coverage while the others do visa runs, go into rehab, reconcile new job requirements with wife and/or girlfriend?

Sign me up for that team!

That site does rely on user comments, and some culled (or emailed to the web master) from other sites.

I used to send in updates now and then as well.

I even tried (jokingly) to be a "Freelance Go-Go Bar Inspector", going from club to club trying to ensure customers were getting good service, noting rip-offs, high prices and so on, but the job just didn't pay well. Hardly even any free drinks or other "perks", so I had to go back to a job that actually paid me. :D

Ah well, retirement is just a couple of short years away. I'm sure there'll not only still be go-go bars in Pattaya, but plenty more of them then there are now !! Something to look forward to in my golden years (unless "she who must be obeyed" suddenly decides to make an honest man of me and keeps me chained in the bedroom as her love slave ! That sounds like a pleasurable alternative as well !) :D

Well spotted on the Misty's toilets earlier in the thread, the only thing lacking in achieving perfection is elevator music IMHO.

Well, you do have the thump, thump of the music from downstairs and the occasional glimpse of the dancing damsels out on the catwalks as you're using the air dryer........... :o

And if you're luck is holding out you might bump into a careless one as she shuffles up the spiral staircase on the way to the dressing room. :D

I wasn't trying to knock the guy with the review site, to the contrary, it seems the only source of info

on the subject. I've just been frustrated because the last few times I entered one of these establishments,

nostalgic for the old days, thinking I could have a cold beer, relax and have a fun chat with the help, I've

been somewhat shocked at what passes for an "a-go-go" these days. Mistake #1. I made was going into

the far-east club on soi post office I think it was. Apparently this club has gone "full-katuhy" and that's

fine it's just not the randy sort of action I'm looking for and I don't want to patronize this sort of place.

In fact an awful lot of clubs on soi yamato/soi post office seem to have gone this route. Again, I'm not

judging, I'm sure there are legions of farangs who travel half-way around the world to watch dancing

ladymen but just not me okay. Idea! Let me go to the review site and see what he says about this area. :o

I did peek in that Tahitian Queen on the beach road the other afternoon and it was "packed".

So, the places doing things correctly always have a good customer base. Soi Yamato is 13/1

and Soi Post Office 13/2. Between the two of these streets there are 7 a-go-go's I counted.

Las Vegas is on the 2nd road end of Soi Yamato. Guess it is new don't remember that before. :o

So many clubs, so little time (and me still getting over the shock of this thread still being open ! Can peace with the Taliban be far behind ?) :D

Not saying that I spend a lot of time on go-go's (but then again, what constitutes "a lot" ?) :o

Problem is, so many of these places open, close, change names, re-open, switch from girls to boys to girls again, it can be hard keeping track.

Polo I like for a couple reasons, not just because I know half the staff and dancers. Bathrooms are OK. Prices not bad. Need to work on newer dance routines though.

AngelWitch - Nice bathrooms ! Good shows. I go once in awhile to see if anything has changed from the previous visit.

New Living Dolls 1 - Been awhile, but I hear they did some small improvements to the tiny little cramped bathroom. Usually a good line up on stage.

Soi Diamond (too many to single any one club out).

Rodeo Girls (soi 13/4 I think, across from the Penthouse hotel), previously Crystals ? Non-smoking, small shop-house size go-go.

Paradise - soi Bukhao (closer to the Pattaya Tai end of Bukhoa). double-shop house size. Cramped bathroom. Some nice talent now and then.

Wet 'n' Wild - Center Condo complex. Can be tame, can be wild. Cheapest drink prices I've seen for a go-go. Glassed in pool where girls swim for tips wearing a pair of swimming goggles and ........nothing else. Tends to be deserted quite often (25 staff/dancers and 1-2 customers is a common sight at times)

Hot & Cold (can't remember the soi, just off soi Bukhao a short ways from soi Diana). Just like the name says (except it tends to be hot in there for lack of air-conditioning at times)

Peppermint (Walking Street, above the Marine Bar, beside the disco). Usually a crowded place with oodles of dancers on 3 stages, plus table tops. Male wait-staff. From what I've seen, consistently one of the busiest go-gos in the city.

I won't bother with any more of the 75+ go-gos in Pattaya at the moment. Too many are pretty much the same, and I haven't been to many of them in a long time.

There is a website that maintains pretty good coverage of go-gos (and beer bars), with numerous reviews from customers, information on (drink) prices, warnings for some places and so on.

I won't post it here, as that is - was cause for anxiety. And comment of course ! :D

(nothing too subtle about that, was there ?) :D

Polo...over priced drinks, male waiters harrass u to drink faster, ladies arrive as soon as u r seated, and commence to massage your neck, then out comes the hand for cash, after the ladies finish dancing they head straight for you for more cash.....grrrrr u may as well just leave your wallet at the door. :D

Been here for two years now and visited Pattaya for 12 years before that.

Peppermint, in my opinion, is the best all round gogo.

Reasonable Prices, pretty girls, not too pushy, not too obscene, open later than most other gogo's

Is insomnia also a dancing/coyote bar? I always thought it was just an after-hours place?

The flow of traffic seems to go from the marine1 right over to there? Well, I might have

entertained the idea of climbing the steps had I only known.Ladyman free-zone hopefully. :o

I think Insomnia & Insomnia Gentleman's Club are two separate establishments

Insomnia (Club) is now on Walking Street, think the opening was last Friday. Went there Saturday night, much bigger than before and I assume it will be very popular. The stairs are not as steep as in the previous location, but still a kind of challenge after a night out at 4.30 am :D

Thankfully I am able to do the scouting myself. All uncredited reviews are original to the site and these form the majority of posts. Others are contributed by readers and just a few culled from other sources particularly when they give a different perspective to reviews already on the site.

Perhaps you ventured into Stringfellows on Soi Yamato...a fully katoey gogo.

Far East Rock is pretty much all girl, but for some unfathomable reason has katoey welcome staff.

There's only one katoey bar on the two sois and that is La Bamba, the nearest bar to the beach on Soi Yamato. The lady boys moved across from Club 131 opposite few months ago. Of course a fair few of the other bars have token katoeys these days.

And while I'm at it

Top 10...

Top notch reliable fun (alphabetic order):

Baby Dolls (Soi 15)

Hot & Cold (Soi 13/2, Soi Post Office)

Lollipop (Walking Street)

Windmill Club (Soi Diamond)

I've had many good times in the second tier but not quite so reliable (alphabetic order):

Beavers (Walking Street)

Legs Club (Soi 13/4, Soi Pattayaland 2)

Shark Club (Soi Diamond)

I have also enjoyed some good nights in the third tier (alphabetic order):

Betty Boup (Soi 6)

Blue Lagoon (Beach Road, Best Friend Complex)

Utopia (Walking Street, Soho Square)

Sorry i cannot agree with your comments on the Polo Club,i was there last year, and we were escorted to seats near the stage, drinks delivered, over priced.then....two ladies appear and commence to massage our neck area, after a short while they requested money,we did not ask for this massage, therefore gave them 100 bht each....they stormed off not happy Jan..

Show began on stage,in the mean time male waiters continually checked our drinks and req we drink faster. As soon as the ladies had finished on stage, they made a bee line straight for the punters for cash.

We decided we had enough of this and departed.

Maybe we should have just left our wallet at the door??

Definately not a good place.

I CANNOT stand Polo. They are pushy and the Greediest girls on WS. They DEMAND 100 Baht for standing in front of you. I refused one and the girl screamed at the yop of her voice to embarrass me. Didn't work !! A girl follow you to your seat and hassles for a drink. A friend was asked for 300 Baht TIP before his drink even arrived. TOTALLY BAD ATTITUDE PLACE BUT ARTISTIC SHOWS!!!

The site he found is good for day-to-day reviews. There is also a Pattaya Gogo Guide which shows a Complete list of all the bars. They are also looking for reviewers :D:o to visit clubs :D and report back post-34728-1228138975.gif

Oasis on Soi Bukao. Well, it saves a trip down to walking street. Comfortable bench seats. Cheap draft beer.

Also Champange, Blue Ice and Paradise in that area. In Walking Street, I like Casnovy, Heaven Above and Pepperment.

Good selection, except for Peppermint. I do not know why everybody seems to like that place....Casanovy is ok as well, Coyote can be fun.

Sorry i cannot agree with your comments on the Polo Club,i was there last year, and we were escorted to seats near the stage, drinks delivered, over priced.then....

What can I say ? I've been going to Polo since 2004. When I go into the place, the "hostesses" that line the stairway don't bother following me in. If one approaches me while I'm sitting at my usual table, I give her a polite "no thanks" and she goes.

I've been in a number of clubs that charge more for their drinks than Polo, and I've never, ever had any of the staff try to get me to drink faster (maybe because I already drink so fast that they have a hard time keeping up ?).

I often end up with 2-3 dancers sitting with me (some I've "gone out" with in the past) and mamsan Lee when she's not busy. I've known some of them for over 4 years now, so I imagine that makes a difference when it comes to service and how you get treated. When the girls start going through the crowd looking for tips and come up to me, if I smile and shake my head they usually just head off into the dressing room.

I've seen people go in there and try to watch the shows without buying a drink at all. Others have tried to go the "cheap" route and order a bottle of water and then complain about the price, thinking they should only have to pay 7-11 prices to watch go-go dancer shows. :o

Again, pretty much everything I mentioned above.

If you think Polo is bad, try going next door to Galaxy ! From what I hear, it makes Polo seem like paradise by comparison (apparently the Russian dancers are quite pushy).

Angel Witch does artistic shows as well, and the two clubs seem to copy each others routines quite often. I had to laugh. The first night Angel Witch opened, I

went there with 2 mamsans, 1 dancer and 1 service girl from Polo.

Every single dance show that Angel Witch put on, was an exact copy of what the girls in Polo had been doing for weeks (or months in some cases).

I find the shows at the Fashion Club to be choreographed and performed much better than either Polo or Angel Witch. The main difference though is that they don't get naked at the Fashion Club.

Utter sexism on Thai Visa board, I ASK where there are STRAIGHT male stripper bars in Phuket and the thread is closed withion minutes.

This thread is even discussing invidual " Girls" ( uh aren't they over 18? ) , prices etc.

Actually, in the main, your thread was closed because you were attempting to score investors.

Polo is a tourist trap and really only for tour groups or newbies.

They used to have a good show but their show now is very lame indeed.

They girls are very mercenary with the attempts to extract money from punters.

Best avoided in my opinion.

Peppermint is very popular but has no real atmosphere and very little genuine interaction between customers and girls. The girls working there for the most part are very hard nosed and lack the sanuk factor.

Worth one drink to check out the sheer number of girls but not really worth staying long in my opinion.

I would say ditto for Beach Club which i think is run by the same people.

No, Mr.Guru-reviewer, it was Far East Rock and they do have ladyman dancers.

At the time I went the doorstaff were girls as well as the waitstaff inside, only after I sat down and

ordered a beer did I become aware the their were a preponderance of katuhy's dancing. I'll

agree with the rest of your comments though. La-Bamba "full-on"katuhy bar also

outside P.S. guesthouse a number of them loiter, and Yes well a sprinkling of them in the other

bars as well, gee, basically they're <deleted> kathuy's everywhere like I said.he-he-he-he

The quality of the shows and help depends largely on the amount of tipping. Cheap charlies won't like most places, big spenders will be happy almost anywhere. Buying a few drinks for the right people and 100 baht tips to the staff improve everything dramatically.

Polo: Went with a large group of farang men, all with Thai wives and girlfriends along. Better halves were happy watching the shows for an hour or so. Not too much hassle for drinks or massages. Ok for a one time visit, but I won't be going back.

Peppermint: Best overall for relaxing. Not too pushy, lots of girls, my recommendation is to sit at a table with a pole and, as always, tip well and buy a few drinks.

Baby Dolls: Wow! Tops on my list for excitement.

Secrets: Went in late one afternoon, super comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, food available. No nudity.

None of the others I've been to are memorable enough to write about.
