kurgen
On Sunday Afternoon at Banglamung Police Station, Police Lieutenant Nitipoom received a complaint from a local journalist who claimed he had just been shot at and physically assaulted by a former village chief. Khun Kunakorn aged 26, who sustained minor head injuries during the attack explained that he was taking his female friend, Khun Nisachon aged 23, back to her house when he was confronted by the woman’s Brother-in-Law, Khun Narin, a former village chief from Pong sub-district. The man was armed and began shooting in the air and in the direction of the victim’s car. Khun Kunakorn managed to dodge the bullets, some of which damaged the interior of his car. Eventually, the victim was dragged from the car and hit over the head with the butt of the gun. He was then dragged into the house of Khun Narin who threatened to kill the victim and bury his body. Eventually Khun Kunakorn was able to escape and made his way to Hospital where he was given 4 stitches in a head wound. He then went to the Police Station where the investigating officer promised the man would be located and arrested as soon as possible. Police theorize the attack took place because of his work as a journalist or because of a domestic dispute. The case continues.
