Impact Of Airport Closures On International Package Delivery

I asked this question during a visit yesterday to my local Post Office, and got an unknowing answer from the clerk there.

You'd think folks like FedEx and DHL might be making alternate, temporary arrangements to fly out from Phuket and/or Chiang Mai.... But I haven't checked with them.

So does anyone know, what's happening to inbound and outbound international mail and parcels right now???

We sent goods by TNT yesterday and were told to allow 2 extra days for delivery to the uk as it is going via road to singapore ,we also asked at the post office and were told they are holding international consignments at the airport,.so id say avoid the post office for international exports for now, Edited November 28, 2008 by imaneggspurt
