WorldwideALOHA Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 PAD has released 88 planes to help the current travel crisis. This morning the word from several large hotels in Phuket is bordering on positive. Tourists are getting in & out of the Phuket airport. The beaches still have a good number of tourists and the mood is ok. Hopefully, Phuket and Chaing Mai will make it through without too much of a beating. Aloha

Kf6vci Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Don't try this - unless you want to meet a SWAT team and spend 10+ years in jail after having a stun grenade thrown at you and a taser used on you. Prior to the "releasing" bit comes the euphemistically named "taking" of an airplane. Anywhere in the world, this would make you a terrorist. I witnessed what happened when a passnger smoked in the bathroom. I bet he had to do time for that! Now imagine how prosecutors view the "taking of an aircraft". Best case scenario: you will never again get permission to fly / jail time prior to trial / huge costs to pay. But some will tell us all this has been for the comon good. those who took the plane did that for the benefit of society and that they deserve a medal. Amazing Thailand!
