I am looking for a farang (expat living here going back for a short / long trip home) or a Thai that will visit West-Europe soon and that would want to bring my laptop & send to my parents in my home country.

My laptop still has still some weeks guarantee and I was wondering If anywould could take it to Europe & send it by mail, as it will arrive within the week.

Sending it with air mail (fast or slow) will be super expensive, sending by boat, it will arrive after the guarantee period.

I am paying for the costs of the sending by regular mail from Europe to my home country + a reward for the trouble.

With respect, anyone who agrees to do this is taking a big risk carrying something given them by a stranger out of Thailand and into Europe. You are probably genuine and it wont be stuffed drugs or similar, but I certainly wouldn't want to risk it.

Alternatively, assuming you are genuine, then you are taking a big risk entrusting your laptop to a stranger.

I once had the same experience. In 2000, while I was vacationing in Morocco ( Marakesh precisely). This acquaintance, the colonel in Royal Moroccan Army had asked me to bring a laptop back to his friend in NY. I refused flatly, thinking exactly like you stated - stuffed with drug or smuggling something else etc...who knows.

This is a very dangerous game. Even you were innocent but the agent found 'THEM' on your possession. You're finished, you can not talk your way out.

To the point....don't do it.

...Same Same....in Oman airport an Arab chap who shook my hand for 20 mins,.....wanted me to accept a tape of his local wrestling hero....I tried to put it as politely as I could,....but he insisted so much.....so I whispered to the customs,....look I cannot take this on board,...then the customs shouted at this poor man,.....Ooooh I felt terrible
