December 23, 200817 yr I've done a search for this topic but couldn't see anything so I thought I'd start a new topic. I'm interested in finding out people's experiences on this route and what the level of service is like. Can you buy in-flight entertainment for example? I've flown Air Asia many times in Thailand but when the flight is only 1hr or sol long you're not really bothered about lack of entertainment, food, etc so long as you leave on time and get there safely (seeing as it's a discounted airline so you're paying less). However for long haul I'm not so sure whether I'd be so keen if there was no entertainment. The food I know you can buy but I'd still be interested in hearing people's views. Thanks,
December 24, 200817 yr Author the route doesn't start til march. Sorry didn't realise. In that case what about people flying Air Asia from Aus to KL as that's long haul? Or perhaps any "inside knowledge" on inflight entertainment? Thanks
December 24, 200817 yr i used jetstar BKK to Melbourne 9 hours you can entertainment system costed 20 $ but still hard to pass time
December 24, 200817 yr take an ipod with your favourite films, music, get a book or a bottle of whisky in the duty free. My option for a successful flight are ear plugs and a blanket over my head, so nobody disturbs my sleep. Apparently no jetlag after crossing 7 time zones
December 24, 200817 yr Aus to KL is long haul? re: budget airlines longhaul (proper) I do it for the price; I have food with me or make sure i aint gonna be hungry, I have entertainment with me: mp3, psp, laptop, book, whiskey. I would choose it everytime due to the excessive prices you pay for top airlines and how i could spend that money on other things. although, I am flying thaiair tommorrow, but then a last minute booking with them was cheaper (and faster) than the budgets, even flying combinations of operators. I will be flying back to London mid next year, and fully intent to check out airasias prices. Its all about the price IMOA, cheers
