Flying In And Out Of Singapore For A Visa Run

Featured Replies

I want to get 30 days on arrival into Thailand so I am planning to fly to Singapore, stay for few hours and then come back again. Does anybody see any problems with doing this?

Thanks in advance

No problem. Just be sure you have an onward ticket out of Thailand to show.

You can do it to KL, Penang or other countries nearby.

You won't be asked for an onward ticket out of Thailand.

I did it September, did not leave the airport, technically did not even enter Singapore.

Many business people do such trips in a day, no questions or tickets asked.

I take the Air Asia which arrives in Singapore at about 1pm and then get the Tiger Airways back to Phuket at 6.30pm. Try to book well in advance to get the best deals.

Just to add something on the costings. I recently did a trip and got a 3 month Non "O", but if I factor in the taxi fares from the airport and the 2 trips to the embassy, visa fee, 2 nights hotel, I figured out it would cost the same to just get a return flight every month. And now there are no restrictions on the number of visa exempt entries.
