Mosquito's In Patong

Over the last few days we have both been badly bitten by Mosquito's and where we have been bitten a lump comes up and weeps clear fluid for about three days.

Itches like hel_l and have got a couple of creams from local chemist but does not alleviate itching.

Anyone suggest a cream, lotion that may work?

We are regular visitors to Patong and haven't had them so annoyingly itchy before.

We always spray room at night.

Try Siang Oil to eliminate the itch - always works for me. Can be bought in any pharmacy.

Another thing that works is the small nasal inhalers you find in all the 7/11's If you take the bottom off you can dad some of the menthol onto the bite. This stops the itching immidiately and its easy to carry abot

Thats what I use.... Cheap, easy to cary, and works well.

My gf gave me some ointment made of eucalyptus and camphor which seemed to work.

There are few creatures I'd happily see become extinct, but mosquitos are one!

vinegar.

Half litre bottle costs about 20 baht and lasts for ages. You can also use it on salads!

These bites - do you get them on the beach or is it anywhere in Patong?

Raising up and weeping fluid sounds like it could be sand-flies or something similar

Anyway vinegar works for them really well too.

Spray up well and try to not get bitten in the first place.

Tried the Siang Oil and that certainly works. Smells a bit like Tiger Balm.

you could be right, maybe it is not mosquito's as we have never had this reaction any where else in Asia or at home. Only here this year and Kata about 18 months ago, we got bitten by somethins and the same reaction

Regular consumption of Marmite or Vegemite will stop skeeters even landing on you.

Been working swell over 60 years for me.

Seems to make one immune after a period of time consuming either.

I usually have it on cupla slices of toast for brekky.

Guess it does not work for everyone, it has been great for my family.

The active ingredient is vitamin B₁₂.

BTW, sneaky KRAFT have put smaller jars on the market, 50 grammes less, but no price reduction on shelf.

Mite have to use Marmite, I liked the glass jars Vegemite came in, so handy..

Marmite is actually fortified with B_12, so better for you, made in NZ too,,,,,,,lol.

Real marmite isnt made in NZ.. Faux-marmite that tastes worse then vegamite, and comes in those plastic tubs, thats sold out of Villa.. Thats from NZ..

Actually finished my last jar scrapings yesterday and havent seen it in Deli for a while ?? Is it in tops currently ??
