Story from long ago, supposed to be true.

After the Falklands war had been won Harrier jump jets would fly regular patrols which after a while got to be a bit boring for the pilots, so they devised a bit of sport at the expense of the local penguin population.

The pilots would find a penguin colony near a beach and then some little way out to sea at low altitude would slowly fly from left to right and back again from right to left. Once they had the attention of all the penguins following their back and forth flights, a bit like watching a tennis match, they would head out to sea then return flying right over the colony.

The penguins still watching them would look up , up and up as the planes passed overhead till they all fell over backwards
