90 Day Notification: Been There But.... Nothing To Prove It

Featured Replies

Hey everyone

:D I have posted on the travel forum but realised it so I am posting here (t :D hanks)

On december the 18th, I had my visa extended for a further 3 months (ending on March the 27th as shown on the immigration stamp) No problem whatsoever there

On the very same morning I also queued at the office next window: the 90 day report.

I left the immigration (as I had a meeting to attend), obtained a special queue number (differnt colour), came back an hour or so later, presented my number and was given back my passport with a receipt of notification

Some minutes ago, as I wanted to check the date I was due back on for the 90 days, I took out my passport and the receipt (as I know that the immigration is about to be moved to Chaeng Wattana and living in the center I have to plan a bit ahead)

Surprise, Surprise: the receipt of notification is BLANK (when I say blank I mean there is only the usual name...title.....have received.....nationality...etc but nothing in the between apart from my name in my handwriting) :D

What should I do?

If I go there, they are going to deny it: meaning that I made a photocopy of a blank paper and added my name on.......

If I don't go I take the risk to be caught although I have done everything required, waiting for the day I am going out (in about 6 months time)

I feel so stupid as I have always checked stamps and dates apposed on my passport when going through the immigration but really how could I have imagined I could get a blank paper in lieu of notification? :D

Any advices welcome :o

By the way I still have a photocopy of the notification made 5 months ago but I guess this is useless

Out of curiosity, and presuming you have some kind of Non Imm visa (?), what is a 3-month extension -- and under what criteria? I've heard of 1-year, 30-day,-7-day, and 60-day extensions -- but not '90-day extensions.' (Which, of course, just because I haven't heard of it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.......so please pardon my ignorance) Thanx.

He is probably talking about his Education Extension. I believe these have to be applied for every 90 days.

As for his problem, they should have a record of it anyway. Just explain what happened and you should be ok.

Thanks

I thought about that: if they simply forgot to fill it in that's ok but if they didn't record it at all because they put it on the side, serving the people waiting in the meanwhile, and didn't realise they hadn't done it then.....

Thanks Little Beer, spot on!

I went there this morning, explained the case room 206, the officer doubted my story (never a pleasant feeling when one tells the truth)

She went to check on her computer and came back with a new certified notification so problem solved

Nevertheless, one should know that the 90 day count starts on the day one goes there and not from the date stamped in the notification
