Thailand Faces Surge in Influenza: 100,000 Cases, 9 Deaths
I am in a similar situation - as I sit here typing this reply, looking out to the front of my small home - I have one construction site behind me (about 20 metres from where I am sitting - with noisy equipment (and often shouting workers) going from about 7 am until around 5-6 pm) and another construction site about 50 metres to my right. All windows have to be closed most of the day, and one door slightly open, due to all the dust coming inside, from these sites. -

Elon Musk Urges US to 'delete' Federal Agencies in Government Overhaul
That is exactly your problem! For many people being anti Trump has nothing to do with party politics or being left right or wound counterclockwise. The problem is very straight forward. The problem is TRUMP! -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
No offense to the member, but that amount of money would not give much by "a way of life, and the missus would have to work, and whilst one may own a property, it would need some maintenance, same with the car and bike, which one day would have to be replaced, and there wouldn't be much to give to the kids for weddings etc, and no overseas trips to places of notoriety. Everyone's circumstances are different, but I didn't work hard all my life to count every baht here in my retirement. -

Solutions Sought for Dealing with Unruly Tourists in Mae Hong Son
At the traffic stop near me, on a daily basis farang are pulled over, helmet or no helmet. The police catch a lot of people who don’t have an actual motorbike licence. Of course, if no helmet then for sure a farang is stopped. Rarely do I see Thais pulled over although in low season it does happen occasionally. So, wear a helmet and have the right licence. Then when you are pulled over, and you will be pulled over, there is no fine imposed and you can go on your way. Of course, the alternative if you don’t have helmet or licence is to pay a fine and THEN go on your way. And THAT is the issue. The police shouldn’t let people they have just fined for no helmet and/or licence, just carry on riding just because they paid a fine. Make them walk and they won’t risk it again -
