BigDamo Posted March 1, 2009 Share Posted March 1, 2009 Hey guys we are coming to Koh Samui for the first time in May and are after some information - We have been to Pattaya, Phuket and Bangkok before so we get the jist of Thailand so looking for specifics of Koh Samui. 1) Whats the weather like in May? Is it the rainy season? 2) Is food and drink cheap? We are staying in Chaweng? 3) Any advice on trips etc etc? Any other info would be greatly appreciated? Chawang is probably the most expensive place to stay, drink and eat as its about the biggest tourist area on the island. As for trips you have the Ang Thong marine park which is very nice for the day. Depending on the dates you are here you may want to go to the full moon party on Koh Panyang or if you want to do some good snorkelling or learn to dive then a trip to Koh Tao is ideal Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They pick you up around 09:00, take you around in an open jeep to see the bizzare Grandmother & Grnadfather rocks, the Mummified Monk, Elephant show and riding, crocodile show, monkey show, Stone Garden, drive over the ,middle of the island which includes lunch with a great view, ending at Big Buddha. Ninja and Khao San are right on the beach road, there are cheap restaurants like Relax on the beach as well and who needs a bike for 100-300 meters from the beach road to Laem Din or the food market in Northern Chaweng Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
