This is my first time for using TV Travel. This is the story to date:

1. On 17 Feb I booked an EVA return ticket BKK-LHR-BKK. TVT showed me all the travel details in the email, including that the outbound (17/03) and return (31/03) seats were confirmed.

2. I paid the cash into their a/c early in afternoon of 17/02. Confirmed this early evening and TVT replied that it had been received, but too late to confirm it with the airline so that an E-ticket could be issued. On reflection, this seems odd, bearing in mind that the seats were confirmed, according to their email.

3. 18/03, told that E-ticket would be sent that afternoon.

4. No sign of it by late afternoon, so I emailed TVT. Told that there had been a power cut. When power restored it had been too late to contact EVA. Said they would send it early tomorrow.

5. 19/03, no sign of it by lunchtime. Emailed again: "Sorry, waiting for the ticket from airline."

6. Finally arrived late on 19th. Delay? Because EVA "could not pricing bookings", which seems odd because I thought the deal had been done.

7. Meantime, I asked TVT if I could pre-book seats. After an exchange of several emails, it turned out that I could not. According to them, they had tried but EVA had refused them.

8. On 28/02 I decided to visit EVA's website. There I found out that I could indeed pre-book seats. As I was doing so, I noticed my itinerary. BKK-LHR was confirmed for 17/03, but LHR-BKK on 31/03 was On Wait List. Instead I had a confirmed flight on 28/03 ...

9. I've just phoned EVA in BKK and they confirmed this and told me to take the matter up with TVT. I've emailed the person there who's been dealing with me. Reply? "How strange."

Has anyone else had a similar problem with them?

FYI: In January I bought motor insurance thru TV. When the policy came thru, there was a little bit of a discrepancy between info I'd been sent earlier and what was written in it.

Yes, indeed: phone, and fax. Even a name (Travel Central Thailand) and address (in Chonburi), plus contact name and ref. no. I will resort to phone; but with emails there's a printable paper chase, for what it's worth.
