JR Texas
Hi All,After returning to Thailand, I am going to be staying in Cambodia for a while. Are upmarket houses to rent in good availibilty in Sihanoukville? . Thanks All I'm talking with people who live in Sinhanoukville (SNVL) now about where to live. They are telling me that the upscale condos/apartments are not there yet (but will be there in the future). Upmarket houses for rent........I doubt it but don't know. I hope some people who live there will chime in........I think there are a lot of expats who are sick and tired of Thailand and really want to know more about housing in SNVL. ozzydom
There is no Real Estate agent that I know of in S,ville, to get decent rental properties is a case of being on site. Its usually a matter of putting out the feelers and spreading the word. One very good clue is to spread the word among the tuk-tuk boys and the moto dop riders offering a reward (spotters fee ) to who ever finds you a suitable property ,$50 would get results quickly. The big development on Victory Beach just down from the Snake House is well on the way and is supposed to contain up market condo,s. There are also up market long term residence hotels like the Golden Rooster which has a nice pool ,billiard room, gourmet restaurant and terrific ocean views from most suites. BeachClubResort
Beach Club Resort in Sihanoukville has low season monthly rate specials of US$700 (approx 24,000bt) per month for a superior room, including buffet breakfast, until November. PM me for more details or see the website via google. There is a Real Estate agent in town now, but be prepared to bargain a little.

Also look here: http://www.bongthom.com/classifieds/defaul...A-1EFA264DEFA3} Im thinking of moving soon but I would not recommend my Greedy Land Lord: There is a Apart Block called "Power House" but give that a miss as it full of Mould. The Golden Rooster has not had a customer in months too expensive. Hope that helps.

Check this out: http://www.angkorrealestate.com/index.php?page=home Some very nice looking places, but overpriced in comparison to the same property in Thailand.
