Dave 71
Hi everyone, I think that I am getting as frustrated as everybody else here due to the new regulations on 1 year visas. Does everyone know if the 90 day non immigrant B can be issued repeatedly with no limits? Does that mean that I have to exit the country every 3 months and apply for a new one in a thai consulate if I don't meet the requirements for a 1 year one? Someone said that the 90 day visa can be renewed only for 6 times......this is not really clear... Please someone answer me asap, since I am quite paranoid about it.... Thanxs a lot
jayrockwell
Dave, will you be getting a work permit?
Dave 71
Possibly I will, but let's just suppose that I'd like to start my own business, the fact itself that my name is in the shareholders list should be enough to get me a non immigrant B visa. The point is that I will hardly meet the new requirements for the 1 year visa(especially the part concerning a certain amount of money deposited in a bank account)but I think I'l still be entitled to get at least a 90 day non-imm. B. Someone on the forum mentioned that this visa can only be renewed 6 times....... I am pretty confused about it. Thanxs
dr_Pat_Pong
What is your nationality and where are you located Dave ?
sting01
Does the nationality important in this case? What a bout the structure of the society also(patrnership, private limited ....)? Does that count? What about 2 visas 30 days on arrivals after the first non B? Is it better or worst if re apply for a non B? The answer could be determinant for me to know how I must plan to stay in LOS in the future. I wish Dr Pat Pong or others could give some advices. Also thanks by advance Sting Roxanne

sting01
Doctor, May I know more about that? I know I open my mouth widely often, it's my big trouble, but as I said also, generally you give accurate informations. If that does matter, could you be more precise please? Or must I be more precise myself and describe the situation? let me know, my next run will be before the 20 th of october, if can apply for another non B it will be great. Thanks by advance Sting
dr_Pat_Pong
email me the outline Sting. Some nationalities can only get a visa in their home country some cannot get a Non-Immigrant visa at all. Where did you get your last from ?

Thanxs a lot Hi, I can only speak from my experiences, but in Penang they took one look at my TWO Non-Imm B's and left a nice little red REMARKS stamp that said, THE APPLICANT IS ADVISED TO APPLY FOR A WORK PERMIT WHICH SHOULD BE PRESENTED TO THE AUTHORITIES NEXT TIME This was months ago in April and since I am sorted out now, I wasn't faced with testing it again, but it did get my attention
Guest IT Manager
I have just done (2 months ago) a run to Vientiane, and got 3 month single entry non im B. No problem. Company papers all inorder, but forgot to take a copy of my work permit which was with the labour office. In October I am doing a run North, with ALL the papres, including the work permit, and applying for 12 month non im B. Will rpeort back but a retired guy in CM just diod it with zero bank balance (copy of statement), fully documented company, work permit etc, and got 12 months non im B visa, no hassles. more details at www.chiangmaimall.com/expats ######
