I never wanted a 90 day extension, I was here on an ordinary 1month visa obtained on entry and at that time was spending 1month here and 1month in the UK and during the previous few years had never overstayed.

Unlike you as a super moderator not everyone knows the rules on visas, just look at the same old queries cropping up on a regular basis, it's obvious that arrogance is fairly rife here on TV.

I didn't say you wanted the extension. I am just saying that the ability to get an extension is there if you are unable to travel because of medical reasons verses overstaying.

Once you are in an overstay condition there is very little that can be done to cancel it and not pay the fine.

And thats exactly what happened and all I was doing was stating my experience with immigration and their attitude, so end of story.
