Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run crash on Highway 36.

In the early hours of Saturday Morning, Police Lieutenant Wacharapat from Banglamung Police Station was called to Soi 20 off Highway 36 to deal with the aftermath of a fatal road accident. At the scene, the body of an unidentified Thai Man aged between 35 and 40, wearing a Security Guards Uniform, was lying on the road close to his mangled Suzuki Motorbike. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the level of trauma suggested it was a very high speed crash. At the location, a front bumper from a black Toyota Vigo was on the road; however the second vehicle involved in the crash had failed to stop at the crash scene. Witnesses confirmed that the pick-up was being driven erratically and smashed into the bike while travelling at a high rate of speed. Police are now searching for the offending vehicle and its driver and have alerted garages around the area to be on the lookout for the badly damaged pick-up.
