I stayed up on Doi Pui for a few nights in May at a CMU farm (at 1300 m) and we ate fresh plums off the tree. They will require cold nights, so any growers will likely be in the mountains. If you expect to get plums from trees that you plant in the 300 m elevation flatlands, you will likely be disappointed; I would say don't bother, stick with buying the fruit at Carrefour or Rimping.
