Gpo Asahna Bucha Day

Featured Replies

I went up to the GPO today with an 'urgentish' letter to UK, and it was closed at about half three, as were the banks 'proper' (though not the exchange booths). 30 seconds on google and I found it's Asahna Bucha Day tomorrow... though on no calendar at all can I find indication that today (6th) is a holiday.

So, just to be sure, the GPO will definitely be closed on the 7th and definitely open normal hours on the 8th.

Is that right?

Thank you; that saves me wasting my time tomorrow.

Every Thai person I asks gives me a different answer. I have to come here to ask farangs so I can be certain.
