My car sound system has snuffed it, and I need to find a good company capable of sorting out the problems. If it was just a radio/CD player I would simply buy a new one, but it's a complex system with 8 speakers and three large power amplifiers and crossover networks coupled to a ten stack CD player.

Unfortunately it was in the vehicle when I bought it, so have no idea who installed it. Any suggestions would be welcomed :)

Hey

I posted the same querie about a week ago with NO response! So I had to drive around and find somewhere, and I did!

The place is right next to The Grandview hotel on the Super Highway. So, coming into town just before the Grandview on the left hand side. Or coming from the Huay Kaew Road, go onto the Super Highway and take the first Uturn, once again it's on the left hand side right before the Grandview.

I have a business card but it's in Thai, the website is in English: www.khuangsingha.com tel: 05340622930

They were really helpful and the owner spoke a little English, they even dropped me off at the pool for a couple of hours and picked me up when the stereo was fitted. I got a new cd,mp3 with ipod input and four new speakers for around 7k bht. Also, my card didn't work and they trusted me to come back nearly a week later with the money!! I'm really pleased with the sound, it rocks!!

Good luck x

I say go with Amnuay Motor Air 2 on the superhighway, under the enormous Alpine sign.

I had a very different experience at Khuangsingh. They botched a simple installation when I bought a CD there. Later got it fixed up at Amnuay.

Many thanks for the info on Khuangsingh. I thought they had closed, but obviously not, and are in walking distance from MaeJo Manor, so my first choice.

Thanks Puwa for the info on Amnuay, I know they are brilliant with aircon, but never considered them for audio work. They will get second bite if Khuangsingh cannot find the problem. :)

  • 1 year later...

Amnua Motor Air 2 (almost across from Superhighway Makro) did a good installation for me. My ancient beater must have been the oldest thing they've seen this year, but I still got to listen to system/speaker combinations in the soundroom.

Because I'd recently added LPG, rear speakers were not easy to install. I soon discovered a new rattle that, um, rattled my MP3 experience, however. Took it back and got immediate response, special fix that called for hold-offs. Test ride.

Pretty happy so far, and the woman who fields English speakers is very helpful in working with the technicians. I'd go again. I'm sure there are cheaper, but my impression was that these folks get it right. Large clean shop with an air-con waiting room, if you're in for that sort of thing.
