Hi all,

Could anyone please help clarify what option I have available to me based on the below.

My wife set off to Thailand today fully loaded with hopefully all the supporting documents required for submitting a settlement visa for her daughter to come and live with us in the UK. I have completed the VAF4A form in where I have entered in the sponsor section all my details of income & expenditure as my wife does not have any income due to her not working as she is looking after our young son. (This was advice emailed to me by the helpdesk from VFS Thailand, hope this is correct). The only thing that is not completed on the form is the passport details of my wifes daughter as she is going to get that with my wife later this week and the signed box at the end of the form. However, when I received the email regarding my sponsor query there was a paragraph stating the below :

Please kindly be informed, effective April 01, 2009, all applications for settlement visa must complete online application and schedule online appointment prior visiting the visa application centre.

Do i interpret this as this only applies if I am outside of Thailand or is the VAF4a form I filled in for my wife of no use and she will have to do the online application in Thailand as she has all the supporting documents. The reason I could not do it online in advance of my wifes trip to Thailand was purely because I did not have any passport details for daughter.
