Update on my recent posting regarding is it worth re-applinying for a Visa.

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Worth-applyi...sa-t265313.html

I arrived in Bangkok on the 25th July and i sat down with my GF and spent a good few hours putting the finishing touches to her Visa Application, Nothing had changed since she last applied apart from more photos and that i had given passport proof that i had been to Thailand on the stated dates.

We applied on the monday and was told to expect a delay of 4 to 6 weeks before hearing from the Visa people. on the Tuesday we went off to Koh Samui for 9 nights, during that time my GF got a phone call to tell her to pick up her Visa, But we where unsure if she had been granted one or not, so she pgoned back to confirm that she had been given a visa and she was told that they could not give that information out.

Anyways we arrived back into Bangkok on thursday and we managed to get to the Visa office before 16.30 and collected the portfollio that we had submitted and inside ger passport was her Visa which is dated from the 3rd Oct 2009, So we are both happy and looking forward to her visit to the UK.

One thing i must tell people is, Just tell the truth and address each of their issues.

Regarding Work, my GF works cash in hand in a food court and we told them that and likely they where happy with that answer.

Told them the reason why my GF never phones me and told them that there was no way i would allow my GF to phone me when i can phone her at 0.5P a minute.

I really thought my Sponsers letter was a bit harsh, but i addressed all their issues and it worked for us.

We did thing about using a Agency, but at £500, I think its better taking a chance yourself.

On another note.

Looking at getting her return ticket, How comes its neally twice the price to buy a ticket from bangkok to the UK???

I had a client who only booked a one way from Bangkok and had no end of problems at Bangkok and in the UK.

Whatever the costs just pay it and enjoy your time together.
