Limbo
It was a great game and Chiang Mai was permitted to loose with a honorable and merciful 2 - 0. At several occasions the posts of the Chiang Mai goals proved themselves to be excellent defenders. Anyhow, a fantastic atmosphere, a more than full stadium (people where sitting on the stairs) and with the people watching the match from the outside of the fence the total must have been equal or above the average number of visitors in the premier league: more than 3500 for certain! Fine football to look at, technically and tactically at high level. Support your local football team, because Football has come to Thailand since the re-organisation and it has come to stay! Chiang Rai needs only 1 point out of the coming three games (out of 17 games we won 16 and 1 ended in a draw) and then we will play in the after-competition that has to select 3 out of 5 region champions for promotion to the first division (16 clubs from all over Thailand). So next year the football supporters of Chiang Mai only have to travel 200 kms to see the best clubs of Thailand. Welcome to Chiang Rai! The pictures: the Chiang Mai legion and the Chiang Rai expat hooligans united in the 'Orange Club'. Limbo
