March 9, 200521 yr City Hall officials take beggars to police station Five women with four babies were seen pestering passers-by At 10.30pm on March 6, City Hall officials were called by a concerned citizen to come and check out the problem of begging taking place outside Lek Hotel on Second Road. Two representatives were sent, Khun Somporn Sukwanchort and Khun Kwanchai Klysomboon. At the location, five women with four babies were seen pestering passers-by for money. The men from City Hall identified themselves and took all nine to Pattaya Police Station. They were all from Cambodia; it's not known what will happen to them now. Presumably the infants will not be incarcerated. -Pattaya People
