They got Vegemite, Picalilli (same makers of Branston Pickle) and its abt same as what I paid in Aust. They even got Villi's pies and pasties from lil ol Adelaide. Mmm. Still like my peanut paste and vegemite toast for breakfast. Can't find good hard liqourice here. I get that posted over every couple of months but will bring back a ###### of a lot when I go home for a holiday. Bit worried. EVERYTHING in Aust is so expensive. LOL. Told my wife if we eat out in a THai Restaurant in Aust gonna cost a small fortune. Nomad

Lourens
The European Food Store in Buriram is a real treat. Thanks to whoever owns it. If I feel like anything Farang, I can just pop over and get it. Even if it is a bit expesive, like the Doc said, if you have the craving, you'll pay. But how about starting an on-line Farang food shop for Thailand on the internet? Anyone with enough dough to give it a go?
croftrobin
The European Food Store in Buriram is a real treat. That’s not how I rate the anchovies I purchased there 2 weeks ago! They were awful and rotten! They must have bought a large tin of them, opened the tin - left it open for about a week, then repacked the fish in new oil and small jars! All the items are over priced and most of the items like sauces (HP, Salad Cream etc) are now commonly available in Surin's Big C or Korat's Mall. I suspect a lot of the meat is just repacked Macro cuts. They sell the same make of Cake and Bread flour that can be purchased in Prakonchai for half the price! There's paying extra and then there is taking the piss! I will not be going back and certainly do not recommend it to others staying or visiting Buriram province. But there are so many English and other nationalities living in concentrated tourist areas in Thailand, I do think there is a market for a specialist shop. All you have to do is log on to these expat web sites and read what food everybody misses. You could even become a troll and post new topics like "Where's The Best Farang Food" or "What Food Do You Miss Most" . Jeez, it's so easy why hasn't someone done it? As for "Food Glorious Food", I would like to inform the owner of that shop that probably the reason it went bust is because you couldn't read the f***ing sign ! When I found out about the shop, I went there and even standing underneath the f***ing sign, you could barely read it. Ridiculous! And inside, they did not have any Branston Pickle or Marmite or Bisto, as my ill-informed mate from my local pub told me , but they did have shelves full of Vegemite (which was not bad actually). I think when I went there, they were in the process of closing down and therefore not re-stocking - that's the only reason I can think of for the lack of stock. The staff were pretty apathetic too. TizMe
Get into the unlimited variety of Thai dishes and your cravings will disappear! I disagree. I love Thai food, eat about 90 Thai meals per month, but every now and then I just have to have a vegemite sandwich.
