Nz's To Qualify For 7400 Baht Per Week

Featured Replies

NZ superannuation rules will soon be amended so that Thai-retired NZ's will get access to their full entitlement. (Currently NZ$310.95 per week for single person).

Here are two links:

Legislation/Bills/

and other..

Hon Sir ROGER DOUGLAS (ACT) : ACT supports the general thrust of this bill, and supports its referral to a select committee. I thank the Minister for Social Development and Employment, Paula Bennett, for her ready response to my request for additional information relating to this bill. I raised with her what I believe could be seen as—potentially at least—one or two unfair aspects of this bill, and I take the opportunity to raise them in the House.

I take the example of a New Zealander who has worked here for 45 years, between the ages of 20 years and 65 years. If that person retires and goes to Thailand to live, under this bill that person will get a 100 percent superannuation payment, and that seems a reasonable provision.... "

"ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS FORTUNE"

If it comes about, and sooner the better.

The 'sheet worhkers' at WINZ put all msorts of hurdles in ya way.

I wanna stay abroad, LoS M/sia and P/pines for long periods.

At present I am allowed 26 nweeks and must return to NZ.

It will be great.

TY 4 the info , Munter......LOL

Hallelujha!

Never thought I'd be grateful to Roger Douglas.

Absolutely bloody wrapped if it happens as well. Second thing I have Douglas to thank for. Already clocked up 39 years paying taxes and big ones lately so stoked if some comes back at a later date to put the final piece of security into retiring to Thailand. My better half becomes a Kiwi shortly as well so even better.

offtopic but Kiwis in LOS might wanna see the PM on Letterman :)

About bloody time. It's something you pay into for decades, you should be entitled to the full amount.
