Self Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 hello i am a us citizen. i was wondering if i couls use the thirty day stay atomatically givin to us citizens. and then get a two month tourist visa. i am also wondering if i can stay for three months without having to leave and comeback. also, do i need to get my plane tickects before applying for a visa? thank you very much, seth
JonnieB Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 you have it kinda backwards. first apply for tourist visa from nearest thai consulate/embassy in the States (good for 60 day stay) and then extend this visa once while in Thailand (good for another 30 days) for a total stay of 90 days. if you do not get the visa first, you will receive the 30-day on arrival stamp, which can be extended once in Thailand for 10 more days, for a total stay of 40 days.
dr_Pat_Pong Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 and that extension would cost you 1900 baht whether for 10 or 30 days.
