Is there anywhere to get a nice hookah and good quality sheesha in BKK? thanks!

If I remember correctly, there is a good Lebanese restaurant on Soi 3 (right next to Bamboo bar) where I saw people partaking.

If you don't want to be in the crowded soi 3 area, try Temples bar at the base of the Citadines Aparthotel in soi 11. Unusually for an Irish bar, they have some good Hookah available.

Where can you actually BUY a hookah and quality tobacco in Bangkok?

this. I appreciate the references to Soi 3, and will check them out today. If they don't have any for sale though, I will be back to the hunt. I heard someone say they are for sale in China Town or Khao San road, but are hard to find if you are there. I may check those places out, but have never been, and am looking fora better quality one as well. I will report back if I find anything for sale in Soi 3, maybe just have to bu y one from the restaurants.

I saw shisha/hookah and tobacco at the Night market at Saipan pbhut one month ago. As someone said you can smoke shisha/hookah in soi 3. The price is about 150 Baht. Also I've seen many smoke Hookah in Inch club.

TOPIC UPDATE

...Most restaurants in soi 3 won't give you their shisha tobacco source.. I even tried smoking and eating in their places to no avail.. they just stared at me as if i was crazy weird weird weird. anyway about a few steps from the main road to your left is a shop/restaurant that sells pipes and tobacco (you would notice it because the pipes are still wrapped in plastic intended for sale)... 250 grams of tobacco is 600 baht - the price changes for some reason because they told me its 500 baht just the day before that.

another source is a lebanese restaurant called maroush in soi 5 opposite foodland (where you can buy compact tobacco for your sheesha), though they only sell in big chunks - 1/2 kilo and 1 kilo, prices at 1000 for the half and double it for a kilo.

now, i'll try going to saphan phut tonight and check if they actually have sheesha tobacco there... more news coming

This was my best spot several years ago, but I am not quite sure if that is still accurate:

on Samsen Road, just next to AD-here (blues bar): Baghdad Cafe :)

soi 3/1 has a hotel (cant remember name sorry) with restaurant out front with about 10 outdoor tables. if you are on sukhumvit looking into so1 3/1 it is at the first junction about 75 yards in on the right side. they sell tobacco -- apple, cherry and sometimes others.

tobacco comes in vaccum packed foil bags, cant remeber proce or rate.

food is excellent too.
